Chabad Youth Queens is headed by Rabbi Yaakov (affectionately known as Rabbi JZ) and Mrs. Breina Horvitz. It is geared to serve the Jewish population in Queens both physically and religiously.
Chabad is available for all Jews religious and non religious, regardless of background or affiliation. Chabad lives by the motto, ‘Love your fellow as yourself’ (Leviticus 19:18), and will always be there for you in an inviting, non-judgmental way.
The Rabbis at Chabad are emissaries and representatives of the current Lubavitcher Rebbe. To learn more about the Rebbe and Chabad, click HERE.
In Queens, Chabad is well known for its Released Time Jewish Hour program, which was founded by the previous Lubavitcher Rebbe in 1941. Released Time Program gives public school children in NYC one hour a week during school time to learn and connect to their heritage. For more information on the Released Time Program, click HERE.
Chabad Youth Queens is a branch of Chabad of Rego Park. For more information on Chabad of Rego Park, see HERE.
A main focus of ChabadYQ is to care for the nearby neighborhoods. We have volunteers in the areas around Rego Park who service those areas specifically. To learn more visit the Other Neighborhoods page.
Chabad’s current mission is to bring awareness and help everyone prepare for the imminent coming of Moshiach (the true Messiah). To learn more about this and to take an active part, click HERE.
